Jan Lovell

Jan Lovell, President and Owner, began her work in 1986 at CLtel in sales and marketing and human resources in 1986, was Assistant Manager for several years, and has served as President since 2007.

Her strategic goal was for CLtel to become a leader in a newly competitive environment and ensure that advanced telecommunications services could help attract new industries, families, and talent to North Iowa. The other key goal was to recruit dedicated professionals to support innovative technology with personal customer service. Jan served as the first chair of the Telecommunications Advisory Committee to the Iowa Telecommunications Commission, served on committees of state and national telecommunications organizations; chaired the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation Board of Directors and has served on community college, bank, and non-profit boards. Jan holds a Master of Science degree in Telecommunications from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. Jan enjoys spending time with her family, including three grandchildren, kayaking, gardening, hiking, and volunteering with non-profit organizations.
