CLEAR LAKE, Iowa—Tim Clayton, Brian Gustas, and Joyce Hrinya have joined the CLtel Board of Directors.
Tim Clayton is a principal at Emerging Capital in Minneapolis. He has over 40 years of financial, operational, and strategic leadership experience with companies across the country. Clayton has worked with large, public, multi-national corporations, private, family-owned middle-market companies, and venture-backed emerging growth companies across a variety of industries, including high-tech manufacturing, business services, retail, consumer products, wholesale/distribution, and financial services. He served as chief financial officer for Sajan Inc. and other corporations and as executive vice president and treasurer for Building One Services Corporation. He has also served on a variety of corporate and not-for-profit boards of directors, including his current service as the chairman of the System Audit Committee for the Federal Farm Credit System. Clayton holds a BA in accounting from Michigan State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He lives in Plymouth, Minnesota.
Brian Gustas is the Chief Executive Officer of Business Development Group (BDG), a telecom consulting firm in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. With over 35 years of executive management experience in the telecommunications industry, Gustas’ background spans operations, corporate development, sales, and M&A, including the successful integration of multiple acquisitions. He also served in senior executive roles at Zenex Telecom, Matrix Telecom, and Impact Telecom. Before founding BDG, Gustas was president and co-founder of ComSource Inc., an international wholesale telecom brokerage firm. He holds a business management degree from Oklahoma State University and resides in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Joyce Hrinya is an independent director, Chair & CEO with executive experience in Fortune 500 companies, private equity firms, and family-owned businesses. She has diverse industry experience, including CPG, consumer discretionary products & services, telecommunications, insurance, defense contracting, home improvement, and construction services. Hrinya’s roles have included general management, branding, strategy, operations, manufacturing, and production planning. She is a partner in the Aspen Family Business Group and an operating partner for Star Mountain Capital, a lower middle market specialized asset management firm. She has been an executive at Coach, Aris-Isotoner, Champion, Playtex, Liz Claiborne, Danskin, Helzberg Diamonds, Sees Candies, and Famous Brands (Mrs. Fields cookies and TCBY yogurt). Hrinya graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Finance degree and has an MBA from Harvard Business School. She lives in Kansas City.
