CL Tel awards the top academic achiever in the Clear Lake High School graduating class with a $2,000.00 scholarship each year. The scholarship has been given since 2003 as part of the Annual Academic Excellence Banquet each spring.

Any non-profits seeking funding for public events from CL Tel should please call 641-357-2111 or e-mail to request an application form.

CL Tel also offers other scholarships because of its membership in trade organizations. These include:

A college scholarship program; the opportunity for high schoolers to be selected to participate in the Rural Youth Tour in Washington D.C. and learn about telecommunications, Congress and the Federal Communications Commission and a community grant program which provides funding for tech-enabled projects. These are available through the Foundation for Rural Service, a non-profit established by the NTCA.

A charity grant program for public and private non-profits in Clear Lake and Ventura is available because of CL Tel’s relationship with Aureon. Applications are available from CL Tel and may be submitted at any time during the year. Applications are reviewed quarterly. Most grants range from $250.00 to $1,500.00.
